Leveling up! Back to school card with Waffle Flower Crafts Level Up Stamp Set

I can't believe another year has flown by and it's back to school!  To celebrate the little guy moving a year up to the next grade in school, I made this card using the Level Up stamp set by Waffle Flower Crafts.
So fun coloring the images from this stamp set and I love how my card turned out!

To make this card, I first blended distress oxides (faded jeans, peacock feathers, twisted citron, and squeezed lemonade) onto a 4 1/4 x 11" piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, and then splattered with water using an old paintbrush.

Next, I inked up the walking dragon, fire, clouds and +1 and A buttons from the Waffle Flower Level Up stamp set using MFT Extreme Black hybrid ink, and colored the images with copic markers.  I cut out my colored images and then glued the fire flame and one cloud onto the bottom section of my cardbase, and adhered the dragon, +1 and A button, and one cloud with foam tape to create some dimension.
Next, I inked up and colored the little knight, +1 and A button, and three level up sentiments from the Level Up stamp set using copic markers, and cut out the colored images.  I adhered the little knight and +1 and A button with foam tape onto the center of my card.  As for the sentiments, I wanted to create a pop up effect so I glued the first "Level Up!" sentiment to the center of my card base with regular glue, used foam tape for the second "Level Up!" sentiment, and used double foam tape for my third "Level Up!" sentiment.
Next, I stamped and colored the flying dragon, some more clouds and another +1 and A button from the Level Up stamp set using copic markers, cut them out and adhered them to the top of my card base.  I used foam tape for the flying dragon and +1 and A button, and interchanged between foam tape and regular glue for the clouds to give some more dimension/depth to the card.

Here's another look at my full card:
This Waffle Flower Level Up stamp set turned out perfect for this first day of school card.  I had a blast making this and the little guy loved it!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Time for back to school!

Hugs,
Beata June 💚💚
